BBF got off to a good start to the year with an exceptionally well attended meeting at the Grand Hyatt sponsored by HSBC. Alan Jarman, who leads HSBC’s Retail Banking & Wealth Management group in Oman spoke briefly about HSBC’s recent merger with the Oman International Bank.

HSBC was a founding member of the BBF over 20 years ago when it was known as the British Businessmen’s Group and HSBC was the British Bank of the Middle East.

HSBC generously donated a mobile phone as a business card draw prize, somewhat ironically, and this was won by Michelle Le Fur, Deputy GM of Corporate Credit & Business Development at the Oman Arab Bank and coordinator of the EPBG (European Persons Business Group).
