The British Business Forum in Oman has been voted the Best Business Club in Oman in the Telegraph Newspaper Best of British Awards.

BBFOman was formed over 20 years ago and is part of a network of nine similar groups throughout the region. Oman hosted the Intergulf meeting for all these groups in September 2009. The Dubai & Northern Emirates British Business Group which has 1,520 members was voted the World’s Best Business Club in the same competition.

The major aim of the British Business Groups is promote UK trade and investment. Membership of BBF Oman is open to anyone who shares this aim. The group hold regular meetings on the first Sunday of every month. Meetings are usually sponsored and include a short presentation, often by a visiting trade mission. The group is supported by UKTI and the current venue for meetings is the British Embassy Club.
