On 11th – 12th December, 2012, 19 UK training and education organisations will visit Oman to assess the opportunities for developing new educational partnerships.
Oman has a long history of partnership with the UK, evidenced by the large number of students coming to the UK each year to study. However, more recently UK training organisations including universities, colleges and private training providers have started to work more closely with organisations in the region by entering into a wide range of different training and education partnerships. UK training providers now offer a plethora of different types of specialist training across a range of platforms – face-to-face, online or through a blended approach.
Led by UK Trade & Investment section at the British Embassy in Muscat and the Training Gateway, they will spend 2 days meeting with key public and private sector organisations. The delegates will be exhibiting their companies at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 11th December 2012, from 11:00 Am to 1:00 PM. The organisations attending will have a wide range of expertise including coaching and mentoring training, leadership and management, project management, health related training, online learning, video driven education products and teacher training.
They are looking to meet with organisations which are specifically looking for new training programmes for their staff, local training organisations who wish to licence or franchise new training products and programmes and partnerships with local universities to develop joint degrees and other educational partnerships.
The Training Gateway helps public and private sector organisations address their skills needs by providing a free single point of contact through which to source corporate, vocational and executive training and educational partnerships from UK universities and colleges. With direct access to over 2500 named coordinators in every UK university and around 80 colleges, the Training Gateway provides the most comprehensive access to university level corporate, vocational and specialist training in the UK.
The Training Gateway also helps organisations identify universities that can accredit their own in house training programmes, develop bespoke packages and online or work-based learning programmes. They also work with overseas educational institutions wishing to partner with UK universities and colleges for the development of joint degrees, Foundation degrees, professional training for staff in universities or colleges or other types of educational partnerships.
