Celebrating the first anniversary of their arrival in the Sultanate of Oman, world-leading branding specialist ICON were proud sponsors of this month’s British Business Forum (BBF) at the Grand Hyatt Gardens, Muscat.
Taking place on Sunday 7th December the last BBF of 2014 was very well attended, with local business representatives welcomed by Simon Burke, Head of UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) at the British Embassy. Simon delivered a short presentation about UKTI in Muscat before handing over to ICON.
ICON Marketing and Communications Director Andrew Hodson flew in from the UK to deliver a personal video message from Sebastian Coe in his capacity as chairman of ICON’s parent company, CSM Sport and Entertainment. Lord Coe warmly welcomed everyone to the meeting before Andrew introduced a short film, showcasing ICON’s world class branding work.
Following the presentation Andrew commented: “We are delighted to be in Oman, building on the successes we have achieved in Qatar and the United Arab Emirates defining, designing and delivering branding programmes across sport, leisure, tourism and commercial markets. We see tremendous opportunities opening up in Oman which can benefit from our experience of major sporting events and our work for some of the world’s best known retail brands, delivered in close cooperation with our local supply partners”.
